Douglas R. Shinobu

Douglas R. Shinobu is a co-founder with Roderick Dougherty and Gregory Colford and a Principal of Carlisle Capital Structures Corporation since March 2005, bringing to the firm his expertise in corporate finance, real estate and healthcare. 

Before joining Carlisle Capital, Mr. Shinobu began his career at Citibank Canada, in their corporate real estate unit.  Mr. Shinobu moved on to be the Principal at Neuham Inc. and more recently at Lorax Capital Corporation where he participated in the financing of debt and equity in connection with the seniors’ housing industry.  Mr. Shinobu has also held the positions of COO and Executive Director in the health care sector, managing operations and links in community services, supportive housing, long-term care and retirement housing.

Mr. Shinobu holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.  In addition to his speaking engagements, Mr. Shinobu is a recognized industry expert in seniors’ housing and services by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and industry associations.
